When did you open Ansta Farmhouse Hotel and Camping and what inspired you to do so?
10th September 2010. I loved cooking with sand when I was younger and it made me want to become a freelance chef when I grew up, so now I am.
What do you love most about Ansta Farmhouse Hotel and Camping?
Baking and trying out new recipes.

What has been your biggest challenge and how have you overcome this?
Whether I could ever make it and since I was the first black girl running a business where only whites used to be, I never thought that customers would visit my business. I'm always trying to make different recipes and try to build up every day clientele services by adding value to my business. I kept the business open 7 days a week and holidays too. The opposite bakery was closing earlier than ours, so their clients started to visit my business to and it just boomed. And so they experience my home-baked cakes and the best coffee in town.
Tell us about your team (how you built the team/what you love most).
I have an amazing team who have all just started their first job with me to work in the hospitality industry and I love to be in this field. It's the first time in a team for all of and it just makes so excited everyday to learn new things as well to teach the team.

How has Tab helped Ansta Farmhouse Hotel and Camping?
Tab helps me take deposits for bookings and keeps you safe in the case of cancelation.
What is your favourite feature that Tab offers? Why?
The payment links and the withdrawals. It's really easy to request a payout after clients check out.
Why would you recommend Tab to another business?
Because it is safe to use and worth trying out.
Why is Namibia a great place to visit?
It's one of the best African countries to visit because it has it all. For example, the Kalahari Desert, ocean, tropical areas, canyons, and wild animals. You experience every season. My farmhouse is the best in this area and worth visiting since it's in the last town before the famous Etosha National Park. We can accommodate up to 150 people at once in the restaurant and 18 guests in our en-suite double rooms.

What would your advice be for anyone thinking about starting their own tourism business?
Do it or regret it is the theme for the Farmhouse. So if you never try, you will never know if you can make it or not.
